Orienteering 1:12:56 [5] **** 5.6 km (13:01 / km) +200m 11:03 / km
shoes: Inov-8 240s

Green course at Gov Dick. Was looking forward to heading back into the boulders, but the course went west instead into the trash. Some spots were actually pretty nice, but between the design and my screw-ups, I spent too much time jumping downfall and trash. Definitely felt like too long since I had orienteered, just lots of wasted time. Only major screw-up at #6 where I didn't see a platform near my attackpoint platform that was covered up by the course line. It felt like at least a 10 minute error, but that would have meant I was doing really well otherwise (which it didn't seem that way). Some tough hill climbs, which according to my splits weren't too bad--but they sure felt that way. Definitely need more hill conditioning work.

Orienteering 1:20:00 [4] 4.0 km (20:00 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 240s

Was so late in getting away from the epunch table that I missed getting on a relay team. So I went out to the far end of the Orange course and caught up with Daniel and his Dad on the way back in. No map reading, but they were moving pretty quick when they could and I didn't feel too spritely by then. Good endurance workout I guess.
