Golf 2:00:00 [2] 3.0 mi (40:00 / mi)

Usual 9 holes. Pretty stiff from yesterday so a good walk probably was the best think for today.

Orienteering race 1:48:00 [5] ***** 8.1 km (13:20 / km) +355m 10:56 / km
shoes: Montrail Highlander

Team trial event at Harriman Jackie Jones map.
Still not focusing very well--many times just forgot to pay attention to distances and similar stupid things. Good legs were generally good but not excellent--it seems harder to run fast when discouraged... No real bad legs, so relocation skills must be getting incrementally better. In part, need more practice on this kind of map to do well--hard time distinguishing features (boulder, bare rock, cliff, knoll, etc.)

Orienteering 2:00:00 [3] ***** 5.0 km (24:00 / km) +200m 20:00 / km
shoes: Saucony Guide TR

Control pickup--usually don't do this because tied up with epunch. This was a good opportunity to get some more time in the woods. Focus definitely a key--when I was focused and no time pressure, the map seemed actually clear. When I wasn't paying attention, I got lost fast.

Off-Road Running 30:00 [3] * 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

A bit of trail running and scouting with Sam at FCN after relocating woodchuck. Part of a small taper going into long red course this weekend.

Road Running 37:00 [3] 4.25 mi (8:42 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid

Lewis mills block, focus on staying in form up and through the top of hills

Road Running 1:19:00 [3] 8.4 mi (9:24 / mi)
shoes: Saucony Grid

First time on this loop in a while. Felt pretty good--worked on staying relaxed and in good form. Clearly not up to doing any real long runs yet.
