Running (With Hanna) 19:08 [3] 2.05 mi (9:20 / mi)
shoes: NB 410 v5

Early afternoon run with Hanna, after church and before band practice. No GPS because apparently I neglected to turn off the GPS after orienteering yesterday, and it was dead ... Used gmap to measure route.

Walk/run (With Hanna) 1:02:08 [2] 5.86 mi (10:36 / mi) +30ft 10:33 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

For some reason I'm having a tough time running continuously more than about 2-3 miles. I decided today that I wanted to go out for at least an hour but that I would allow myself to walk whenever I felt like it, and ran when I could. It seemed to work pretty well. I ran the majority of the time but there were multiple walking breaks where I didn't stop my watch, plus a couple of stops for Hanna's benefit, generally so she could wade in some water, where I did stop my watch. No dog encounters which was nice! (Hanna is rather unpredictable with dogs we encounter, and usually goes in with the assumption that they are the enemy even if they give no reason for her to think that.)

The climb of 395 feet that AP says I did is totally bogus. More like 30 feet which I changed it to. For some reason, sometimes when I take a walking break, it registers as a dramatic drop in altitude.

Running 30:02 [3] 2.98 mi (10:05 / mi) +152ft 9:37 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

Gosnell Field, with trailsnail. It's hillier than I had remembered. Time and distance of GPS are a bit off because I hit "lap" once when I meant to hit "stop" (for a walking break after 2 loops).

Walking (Dog walk) 27:13 [1] 1.35 mi (20:06 / mi) +65ft 19:14 / mi
shoes: Merrell hiking boots

Checking out Shadow Pines as a possible orienteering venue. It has some possibilities but the main question is whether the town will be doing any maintenance, like mowing the fields 1-2 times a year. If not, I could see it becoming mostly medium to dark green in a few years.

Running (With Hanna) 35:23 [2] 3.66 mi (9:40 / mi) +82ft 9:28 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

HJ trail, with Hanna. Took extra care not to trip and fall, like last time I ran on this trail with her. Successful. Multiple short stops were made, mainly for her (some water stops, some potty stops, some encounters with other dogs).

Running 20:28 [3] 2.15 mi (9:31 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

Dropped car off at Ron's Auto Repair, and ran most of the way home. I forgot to bring my GPS. Distance is from gmap. Route: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=7302805 Basically, up Cane Patch to Ridge to Maple to the Rt. 104 path. I ran to the end of the path at Bay Rd and decided I had depleted my energy and/or motivation, so I walked the rest of the way. Semi warm for early morning (mid 70's) and fairly humid, 67 degree dew point.

Running 32:30 [2] 3.42 mi (9:31 / mi) +133ft 9:11 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

Road run before playing a bit of pickleball, left handed pickleball due to a shoulder problem. It was a cool day, mid 60's, and I credit that with having more endurance than usual. I ran 3 miles before taking a short walking break, than another 0.4 miles.

Orienteering race 1:11:28 [3] 3.88 mi (18:25 / mi) +480ft 16:29 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

Green course at Genesee County Park. No big mistakes. A few bobbles and a few sub-optimum route choices, mostly just slow, especially on the road and trail portions where I theoretically should have been able to fly, due to being out of shape (and old :) ). GPS accuracy was way off in a couple of places, looking at the trace.

Running 19:45 [2] 2.04 mi (9:41 / mi) +59ft 9:26 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

HJ trail. Fairly warm day. Felt very stiff in the legs and the arms for some reason (haven't done anything obvious the last few days that would have caused that).

Running (With Hanna) 27:31 [2] 2.9 mi (9:29 / mi) +25ft 9:24 / mi
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

Afternoon run after the main rain had stopped but it was still a little drizzly. Mainly on the Rt 104 path. With trailsnail and Hanna.

Running (With Hanna) 24:14 [2] 2.52 mi (9:37 / mi) +52ft 9:26 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

It was so much cooler than recent weather I was wondering if I should be wearing a jacket, gloves, and hat ... not really of course. HJ trail. I managed not to trip and fall this time.

Road run before playing pickleball.

Pickleball 29:24 [1] 0.54 mi (54:19 / mi) +3ft 54:03 / mi

Wore the GPS for 2 games of pickleball, to track distance covered just for the heck of it.

Running 19:32 [2] 2.03 mi (9:37 / mi) +8ft 9:35 / mi
max:140

First run since my tumble on the HJ trail on Monday. My ribs had been too sore for a few days after the fall to even think about running. I felt OK today, just very out of shape.
