Looking for RMA control sites in the Cobb's Hill area.

Running 34:25 [2] 3.62 mi (9:31 / mi) +104ft 9:16 / mi
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

More course setting for RMA, combined with a run (but a run with many stops and walks, while looking for potential controls and then noting them on the map and on a notepad). First run since before my minor wrist surgery last Wednesday. Coming off of a cold, as well, which has sidelined me for the last couple of days.

Orienteering 1:56:15 [1] 3.65 mi (31:49 / mi) +506ft 28:08 / mi
shoes: Merrell hiking boots

Orange course at Mendon, with Cheryl and Hanna. Cheryl did 95% of the navigation. I'm still unable to run due to the bandage on my lower right arm, which I need to avoid getting sweaty. A few grumbles from Cheryl about certain aspects of the course ... otherwise OK, just slow. We were 2nd to last when we left, plus ahead of someone who DNF'd.

Walking (Dog walk) 1:49:00 [1] 4.56 mi (23:54 / mi) +99ft 23:25 / mi
shoes: Hoka Conquest

First course setting outing for the map adventure. With Hanna. I'm out of action as far as pickleball or running go for a short while, as I had a minor operation on my right wrist to remove the metal plate that was put in when I broke my wrist about 3.5 years ago. It's bandaged up pretty well so I can't really do anything that will make me perspire, until the bandage comes off to hopefully be replaced with bandages I can take off and then put on by myself.

Covered the eastern part of downtown and the area just east of the former inner loop.

Running (With Hanna) 36:39 [3] 3.95 mi (9:17 / mi) +10ft 9:15 / mi
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

First time in a number of days that the weather hasn't been terrible for running. As it was, it wasn't great -- mid 30's with a decent wind from the west, which I was hardly aware of when I was running east, but sure was apparent when I was running into it.

AP said 76 feet of climb which is pretty outlandish. I modified it to 10 feet.

Pickleball 1:20:00 [2]

Webster Rec Center. Had a few very enjoyable games, and no UN-enjoyable ones, so a better outing than usual!

Running (With Hanna) 38:00 [2] 3.95 mi (9:37 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

Late afternoon run on a decent day (mid 40's, no rain, not much wind), compared to earlier days and the forecast for the next couple of days. Had many dog-induced stops, most quite short.

Running ("Long") 1:00:01 [2] 6.05 mi (9:55 / mi) +109ft 9:45 / mi
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

With trailsnail. We just beat the rain. Managed to make 6 miles with only two walking breaks, a big improvement over 2 weeks ago.

Running (With Hanna) 28:28 [3] 3.07 mi (9:16 / mi) +5ft 9:15 / mi
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

Early evening run, before heading over to Greg's for grandson sitting for a couple of hours.

Pickleball 1:30:00 [2]

Webster Rec. Generally pretty decent games.

Running (With Hanna) 40:58 [2] 4.17 mi (9:49 / mi) +45ft 9:43 / mi
shoes: NB 410 v5

First run in 4 days. I didn't really feel like braving the unseasonably cold weather (31 degrees; 17 degrees with wind chill) but I was way overdue for a run. I was actually dressed warm enough except for my hands, where I should have gone with some medium weight mittens instead of light weight gloves.

Running 19:08 [3] 2.03 mi (9:27 / mi) +27ft 9:20 / mi
shoes: Hoka Conquest 2

Low 40's, raining lightly, not a great day, but better than it looks for the next couple of days. First half mile was very slow, then I resolved to speed things up a bit, so my 2nd mile was a lot faster.

Pickleball 45:00 [1]

Monday night drop-in play. A couple of fairly inexperienced and fairly unskilled players were in the mix which brought the level of play down. I had two fairly lame games, and two decent games. Didn't stick around too long.

Running (With Hanna) 31:24 [2] 3.2 mi (9:48 / mi) +29ft 9:43 / mi
max:166 shoes: NB 410 v5

Mid afternoon run. A bit blustery, so I opted for the Hojack Trail. Parked on Klem Rd for a change, intending to head NW. I know from experience that section of the trail can be wet/muddy in the spring, but it didn't seem like we've had that much rain lately, so I was hoping it was passable. It wasn't. Two ponds covering basically the entire width of the trail. So I turned around and went SE. Pulse rate still higher than I'd like to see it, for such a slow pace. But it came down pretty quickly, unlike a few days ago.
