Clear 16℃.

Dusk run just to loosen up the legs. Plan was 4k but felt good so added a bit more. Right achilles tiny bit tired, otherwise fine.

Route

Woke up early expecting a nice sunrise and wasn't dissapointed. Could've gone on for longer but ran out of nice interesting nature and didn't fancy walking on km's of straight, flat pavement.

Route.

Stuck with a route close to home, since the main point was to try out some stuff. Pack was really light; probably around 4,5kg excluding food, fuel and water. Night was good, tarp worked fine and 2/3 foam mat was comfy to sleep on. Sleeping bag was warm enough.

Never had problems with the distance except for stiff upper legs around the groin and hips. More walking will solve that I guess.

Once again I learned that hiking in Netherlands is quite boring and frustrating if you're looking for wild nature. I prefer running here ;) Got better on the 2nd day when my mindset changed to 'enjoy the cultural and historical elements in the landscape.'

Rain 13℃.

Autumn arrived! Finally running in the rain again, and I loved it. Random fartlek in the forest, then three accelerations on the way back. Feeling strong and light like on Monday. Right calf again a bit tight but if I just keep training this way it should eventually ease off.

Easy dusk ride with Tim and Louis. Nice atmosphere riding in the dark again. First time with new tires, old ones really needed to be replaced cause I was already riding them down to the threads.

Kept the run really short intentionally, following the new walking trail through the neighbourhood. Route is nothing special, but was pointed at some nice things along the route like hazelnut trees and other edible stuff.

Legs feeling very light, seems I can't get them tired! Four short accelerations at the end. Both calves a bit tight.
