Ski-O day 6: Auburn
Three maps, 4" of new snow on the trails, and a couple stupid dotted trail legs (straight down an 8 contour hill? straight up an 8 contour hill?), made for a not so fun race. The parts through the center of the map where there are lots of trails and junctions and the course actually stayed on them was actually pretty fun though. Rafi went out with reckless abandon and beat us all by 10 mins, then I was second about a minute ahead of Donatas.

Ski-O day 5: Royal Gorge
A couple inches of snow overnight, but they groomed in the morning just before the race so everything was complete fluff. Except for the one trail that they groomed during the race. I got there afterwards, but Scott and Alex hit it beforehand, which I suppose wasn't too fair. Two mistakes, one big one for 3.5 mins, the other for only about 30s. Everybody had some big ones today, the trails on the map were definitely not mapped right, so bushwhacking between them turned out dodgy because the mapped and real distances between them varied a lot (200% or so for my mistake? gps don't lie). Finished second, 9s behind Rafi, and 9s ahead of Donatas.

Ski-o day 4: Northstar
Pretty good race, had a bad route choice to the first one, and messed up execution on the off trail cut to #4 (though it was probably a bad route choice anyway), but the other legs were ok. Shoulder didn't hurt too bad, just weak on the uphills, and I was being extra careful to not bail on any of the downhills. Finished second to Donatas by a lot, like 5 mins or so.

Ski-O day 3: Tahoe Donner
Had a good run, very clean on the navigation, though I suppose I might have had a home court advantage. Lost a minute from a fantastic wipeout bushwhacking down the mt, then just after I got up and the map blew away, so I chased it down another 50' and tackled it (thats the zigzag at 5.3km), but then I had to pick myself out of the snow again. Hurt my shoulder pretty good in the first fall, hope it doesn't swell up too much tonight. Finished first ahead of Donatas by 20 seconds.

Bear Valley ski-o day 2 Blue
Very clean run, no mistakes at all, at least in executing the routes I chose. Donatas beat us by a minute on one leg by bushwhacking over a stream, which I'm still not sure if I would have done, but if I didn't fall in that would have been the one big improvement I could have made. 2nd behind Rafi by 20 seconds, and 5 seconds ahead of Donatas.
