Orienteering race (OO Cup Day 1) 1:15:55 [5] **** 5.58 km (13:36 / km) +202m 11:31 / km
spiked:10/14c shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

Late start today but a brief thunderstorm cooled things down so wasn't bad in the forest. Got 1 ok but overshot 2 (1:7500 scale adjustment!), 3 good and was tracking OK to 4 until I noticed I was 90deg off on compass. Managed to relocate ok but lost 3-4 minutes. Good from 5 thru 11, reading the karst terrain well. Brain fade on 12 when ignored my original (and correct) route option past the water stop, hit the wrong track and then blundered about in thick rock for 5 to 10 minutes before retreating to original plan and hitting control. Tired error on 13, reading control on other side on spur. Generally ok especially as this is only my 2 run in terrain since Easter due to health issues but lots of room to improve. 10th of 18 today. Deb had a good run to be 5th of 11 with one biggish error.

Morning run with Deb in the Bois de Boulogne park in Paris. Caught the Metro there and back. Nice to get out after 2 days of travel. Right knee could be a problem as it is a bit sore. Think I may have twisted it on my last run back home. All the touristy walking in Singapore and the last couple of days in Paris hasn't helped but felt OK when running,
