Running race (Road Runners on Wiradjuri) 54:31 [5] 9.79 km (5:34 / km) +251m 4:56 / km
shoes: Salomon Trail

Cold, wet, windy and sunny all in the space of 50 minutes! And hilly too! Slower today than 2 weeks back. Didn't feel I had any strength today and was a bit more cautious on the downhills as a the track was slippery in places. Felt some discomfort in my left calf with about 500m to go so slowed the pace to a trot as I don't won't an injury now. About 1 minute slower than last run.

In Albury: from motel across the internal bypass and then along the run/cycle track to the north. Turned around after 4km and back the same way. A bit boring but a good hit out after a day of meetings (and ahead of another one tomorrow!)

Orienteering race (Club sprint at CSU) 26:10 [5] *** 4.1 km (6:23 / km) +50m 6:01 / km
spiked:16/17c shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 14 white/gold

Nice event at CSU, first time course setter Julie did a great job. Pretty clean run, a slight hesitation out of 3 and then misread the control description at 9, reading 10's instead.

Running (Long) 1:08:25 [3] 12.5 km (5:28 / km) +22m 5:26 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 14 white/gold

Decided I needed a long run so ran home from Orienteering at CSU. This took me along the roadside down through Estella and then into North Wagga and across the river. I dropped down onto the single track as there are works happening on the levee track. This was nice but could see that the river is very low at the moment. Past the beach and then another detour around more levee works near the Tourist Info Centre then finally back onto the levee and under Marshall's Ck bridge, up to the cemetery and the powerline track. Stopped the Garmin and walked home at 12.5km as felt a sharpish spasm in my right quad and didn't want to push my luck 2 weeks from heading to WMOC in Italy. Apart from that, felt pretty good the whole way, with just a bit of tightness in the glutes in the last couple of kms.
