Note

Golf at the Country Club. First comp game here since March. 32 pts was only an average effort as my driving and long irons were very good but my putting and chipping let me down. More practice needed!

Afternoon ride from home out to Rawlings Park and then around the south end of the Lake and back home. Needed some low impact exercise as ankle is still a problem. Hope it improves by Saturday as playing golf will likely put some stresses on it.

Ran the Senior Girls course from recent Aust Schools Champs. Ran well to 1and 2 but lost map contact through laziness on the way to 3 and ended up way right and past the control. Hit a track and "matched" a green stripe area and adjoining small rocky hill on the ground to ones on the map but turned out to be the wrong ones! Lost about 7-8 minutes until I finally stumbled on the control. Rest were good apart from being a little left of 8. Climb at 11 and 12 was tough and then I rolled my ankle coming down to 13 and had to walk the last 3, so an enforced rest (again) this week. Temperature was in the high 20's so not great for running. Garmin distance 7.75km mostly due to my waywardness at 3.
