Tagging controls for Australian Relays and Australian Schools Relays with Dave Lotty (Controller). Bleak, wet and very cold for the first couple of hours. Probably as cold as I have even been!! The rain stopped at around 11:30am and conditions improved a little but still pretty cold! Managed to get around all but 5 control sites so will go back out tomorrow. Deb also tagged her Schools individual sites and got them all done!

Morning 2 x laps of the Lake with Briohny. Not quite as cold as last week and turned into a really nice morning. Run was good lots of chat and a little quicker than last week. We went a little further to get the 11kms.

Afternoon run from home. Out the back gate and down the track on Rocky Hill. The track took me through the Cemetery (somewhere I have never run before, anywhere!) and out to Kooringal Rd. I then ran down to the Sturt Hwy on the cycle path and turned around at the Marshall's Creek bridge (exactly 3km) and then ran back the way I had come. Stopped at the base of the steep climb about 300m from home and walked up the hill.
WMOC in Hungary starts 4 weeks today. Is there still time to get fit??
Note 1/6/11: checked the website this morning and competition doesn't actually start until 2nd July so have an extra 3 days to get fit!
Shortish morning cycle from Namoi St where I dropped the car for Deb who had run there. Out through Springdale then along Plumpton, Gregado, Mitchell, Kyeamba, Vincent and Kooringal Rds and then onto Churchill and home.
3 PM
Note
Afternoon walk with Deb, Briohny and Darcy-dog around the full track on Rocky Hill behind our house. About 3kms but very hilly (steep down - flat - steep up - undulating!). Darcy was funny trying to chase mice - there were a few about but they were too quick for him.
There is so much great granite on this hill! Even though it is quite a small area, the more I see of it, the more I think I should map it....maybe a project coming up (but not until after Europe and after the Aust Relays and Schools)
Back in time to watch the Hawks comfortably beat the Dogs :-)
