Running race 32:45 [5] 6.8 km (4:49 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 11 2nd pair

Last Roadies event of the year. Handicap race at Tourist Centre. Due to handicap starts, I ran by myself for most of course, only passing a couple ahead of me and being passed by a few of the back markers. A little slower than last week but was still fairly happy with the effort. Lucky with the weather as it pelted down later on the afternoon, just as we were finishing the paving at Briohny's! Darcy certainly enjoyed the rain but we didn't:-)

Orienteering race (Street O) 43:15 [4] 7.8 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 11 2nd pair

First Street O for the summer at Glenfield Park. Very warm to start but wind swung round to the south and it was quite nice by the time I finished.

Planned what I thought was a decent route but came unstuck after just 3 controls when I ran into a permanently locked gate and had to backtrack a long way to get around (note to self: update the map!!). Generally happy with nav and running but didn't judge the time too well, as got back with almost 2 minutes to spare.

Running 40:23 [3] 7.6 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 11 2nd pair

Slow and steady run around the Lake after work. Pretty warm and pace dropped steadily after a resonable start.

Cycling 42:00 [3] 12.9 km (3:15 / km)

Decided to add a few hills to the ride today but was probably a bit too adventurous. Headed up onto Tatton ridge but the initial climb was just too steep and had to get off and walk twice! Once up the top, followed the fire trail (marathon course) to the top and then out onto Holbrook Rd, into Springvale and across to Plumpton Rd then down to the Lake and a did half a lap before heading home via O'Halloran Park and Red Hill Rd.

Time and distance are best guess as Garmin froze up tonight when I tried to upload and I had to reset it. Despite the manual claiming data and settings would remain, all were lost. Checked the forums and it is a well known issue (but little acknowledgement by Garmin). Luckily only lost today's session as had uploaded everything previously.
