Running race (Road Runners) 35:11 [5] 7.65 km (4:36 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 11 2nd pair

Roadies at Wiradjuri reserve. Due to the river flooding, the course was changed to an out and back along the levee bank past the (still submerged) beach almost out to the Highway at Marshall's Creek and then back again.

This was probably the fastest I have run in a Roadies event for many years (ever?). Not blindingly fast for top runners but for me it is pretty good. Started well and felt good so pushed a bit harder. Although I thought I had maybe gone out too hard and would collapse on the way home, I managed to maintain the pace all the way back.

Time includes a 20-30 second stop to help Rob Owers put a wheel back on Zac's running stroller!! He was just in front of me (even with the pram) and I picked up the stray wheel and held the pram while he re-attached it:-)

Running 54:00 [3] 10.0 km (5:24 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 11 2nd pair

Morning run from home with Briohny. We did a full lap of the Lake via the Boat Club. A nice easy pace most of the way, good for chatting about all and sundry:-) Council have been out and cleared away much of the storm debris.

Deb also started with us (a first for her at this time of the day I think!) and ran to the Boat Club and back. She is progressing well on her recovery from the broken ankle.

Cycling 48:39 [4] 16.1 km (3:01 / km)

Afternoon ride around the Lake and out into Rawlings Park. Lots of flood damage in Rawlings with large sections of the track washed away or badly eroded although tracks all dry.

shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 11 2nd pair

Comfortable afternoon lap of the Lake. Interesting to see the aftermath of the weekend storms (which we missed, being out of town). Lake full to overflowing again but the interesting thing is the debris: there is a pretty constant line of rubbish, tree branches and leaves right along the eastern side, often 1-2 metres above the (very full) lake surface (and as much as 30 metres from the bankline), yet there is nothing on the south, west or northern sides. I guess that is indicative of how strong and from which direction the wind and rain was on Friday night

Here are some pictures (well, lots actually) of the floods and damage around the region over the last few days: http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/multimedia/17029...

Note

Weekend of golf and socialising with some friends. Stayed at Cootamundra on Friday and Saturday and the gents played a 2 day golf competition at Coota (Saturday) and Gundagai (Sunday) whilst the ladies enjoyed the regional attractions: Stocks Native Plant Nursery at Harden and Harden's excellent 2nd hand bookshop Saturday and Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory and Gundagai on Sunday. Excellent dining on both nights and
thoroughly unhealthy brekkies both days!

Cold and very windy on Saturday but the highlight of the weekend was the flooding of the Murrumbidgee River which threatened to cut the Gundagai golf action short. We managed to finish but a number of holes were inundated by the rapidly rising waters as we played, causing extensive detours and some unusual shotmaking.

Returned to Wagga to see extensive flooding around the town, with the water still rising.
