Note

Golf: well, a poor excuse for golf anyway. A stroke event today and I took way too many! Opened with a double bogie then settled with 2 pars in the next 3 holes but after that only managed one more par for the round, on 11. Drove the ball well generally but my short irons were atrocious! Low point was a triple on the par 3 14th:-(

Probably my last round for quite a while, except hopefully the Easter challenge!

Cycling 45:55 [3] 15.4 km (2:59 / km)

Afternoon cycle: variation on the usual Lake-Rawlings loop. Didn't feel like fighting the afternoon traffic on Mitchell Rd so did a double loop within Rawlings Pk. Sore knee and foot still causing a little concern. Will see how I go at our club event at Wolfram on Sunday.

Running 39:15 [3] 7.7 km (5:06 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 10

Afternoon run out to the BBQ shed at the Lake and return. Very stiff and a few sore bits (foot, knees) after the weekends SLs and also quite warm again. Loosened up a bit after a while but left foot still quite sore after I finished.

Note
(rest day)

Long day at work and a very sore left foot saved me from any training today - first step in the Leepback program!

Orienteering race (NSW State League 2) 1:09:17 [5] **** 7.6 km (9:07 / km) +220m 7:58 / km

On the Masters Final map at Clandulla today. Much tougher course today, both physically and navigation-wise. Again a good start with track option to the left on 1. Turned left instead of right inside the circle at 3, costing 30 secs then good through to the circle on 7 when I didn't read the map and wasted probably 3 minutes before working out I was on the wrong side of the boulder groups. Compounded the error at 8 by running to far left and "making it fit" before finally twigging where I was: a good 2 minutes here. Finished the last 6 OK.

Surprised with 2nd place today, less than 30 seconds down, considering the errors I made. Still lots of work to do on fine navigation and focus ahead of Easter!

Distance again is from Garmin - stated course distance was 6.2km
