Running 1:14:10 [3] 14.2 km (5:13 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 9

Longest run for some time. Tried to get out early to beat the heat but was not early enough! Plumpton, Boiling Down and Red Bank loop, back via the Lake and Boat Club. Hard work coming home once I turned north into the strong NE wind.

Running 49:55 [4] 10.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 9

Traditional Christmas Day morning run with Briohny. From home to the Boat Club then a full lap of the Lake and home again.

Started out nice and cool but quickly warmed up. Pace was good (Bri reckons I was going too fast and I probably was but felt OK!). Lots of folks out early walking and a few running.

Home for a big day of great food and tasty beverages! We had planned on eating lunch outside but it was way too hot (35C) so retired to the air conditioning :-)

Note
(rest day)

Played comp this morning: a disappointing return of just 32 points - could not putt today on very slow greens.

Note

Mapping again this morning. Early start as it is getting too hot to be in the bush in the afternoons! Still only one snake siting, which is good:)

Afternoon relaxing 9 holes (10 actually) golf with Cam and Deb (walking not playing).

Monday Dec 22, 2008 #

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3] 2.5 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 9

Ran from home to Captain Cook Drive as a warm up for afternoon hill intervals with Briohny. Hot today!

Running intervals 19:00 [5] 3.5 km (5:26 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 9

5 x 350m hill intervals on Willans Hill with Briohny (who did 6!). Really too hot for this today so pretty happy with results:

1:36
1:38
1:41
1:43
1:42

Time includes jog recovery to bottom of the hill - recovery got longer after each interval!
