Running 33:15 [3] 5.2 km (6:24 / km) +118m 5:45 / km

Afternoon hills run on Rocky Hill. Warm weather back so hard work, especially on the climbs.

Orienteering race (Interclub #1) 48:57 [4] *** 5.8 km (8:26 / km) +170m 7:22 / km
spiked:16/19c shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

First Interclub at 9 Mile Hill near Albury, a small granite map at 1:5000. Forgot my Garmin so distance and climb are guestimates (based on Deb's Garmin on same course). First time in the bush since training weekend in February so pretty happy with nav and speed, and with a win - Easter next week, however, will be a whole different ball game!

Note

Missed Roadies this morning to "concentrate" on golf:-) (plus had to take a trailer load to the tip). Seemed to work as had 44 points to win B grade, drop handicap to 11.8 and earn promotion to A grade for the first time ever!

Running 34:46 [3] 6.4 km (5:26 / km) +20m 5:21 / km
ahr:120 max:133 shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 white/blue

Nice afternoon run out the back gate and down to the river and return. Don't think HRM is working correctly.

Running 28:29 [3] 5.25 km (5:25 / km) +16m 5:20 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 white/blue

First afternoon run in a long time on a cooler day. Steady paced lap of the Lake. A lot less people about than normal despite the nice conditions, probably due to the Lake being "closed" due to a blue-green algae outbreak, a sign of the very dry spell we are in (ironically, it actually rained for about 30 minutes this morning!)

Running 37:15 [3] 5.74 km (6:29 / km) +126m 5:51 / km
ahr:134 max:171 shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 white/blue

Hills session on Rocky Hill. Out the back and along powerline track then struggled up the big climb to the top. Did 2.5 loops of the single track/fire trail around the top of Rocky Hill. HRM off the planet at the start (40 after walking up to the back gate from home, then 168 running down the hill!) so reset it and it then settled down but max figure is not right - was in the crazy bit at the start - around 143 (from the graph) looks about right.

Running race (Road Runners) 37:15 [4] 7.26 km (5:08 / km) +34m 5:01 / km
ahr:141 max:168 shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 white/blue

Roadies at Lake Albert. A bit quicker (1.5 mins) than 2 weeks back. Started quite well but faded a bit over the last couple of kms. HR seems a bit high so not sure if HRM is working properly.

Running 32:44 [3] 5.72 km (5:44 / km) +24m 5:37 / km
ahr:122 max:137 shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 white/blue

Morning run, cool and dark. A bit shorter than Tuesday. Wore my HR monitor for the first time in quite a few years. Felt quite a bit stronger but still a way to go. Easter will be a matter of survival!

Running 46:10 [3] 8.0 km (5:46 / km) +26m 5:41 / km

Morning run with headlamp. Usual beat down to the river and back. Liking the cooler conditions!

Sunday Mar 15, 2015 #

Golf at Rich River (West course): another poor effort but enjoyed the weekend away.

Running 39:44 [3] 7.01 km (5:40 / km) +13m 5:37 / km

Morning run in Echuca. Started with Deb and we went out into the forest at the end of the main street. Nice loop along the Murray and Campaspe Rivers. Temperature well down on what we've been having at home!

Friday Mar 13, 2015 #

Running 15:00 [2]

Not really training but worked hard so will log it: stress test on the treadmill at the Cardiologists!

Running 34:38 [3] 6.35 km (5:27 / km) +39m 5:18 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 yellow

OK morning run around Kooringal streets (to use the lights!) then down to the highway at Marshall's Creek; back via cemetery and power line track.

Cycling 29:59 [3] 10.01 km (3:00 / km) +52m 2:55 / km

Half a cycle this morning after a night's babysitting the grandsons. The half was because I had a puncture in the middle of Rawlings Park and no spare. Did have a pump so thought I might be able to get home in stages but it was a nail and a big hole. Called NRMA (well home) and got picked up after walking the bike for about 1 km. Pity, as it was a great morning and I was feeling good.

Running (Road Runners) 38:43 [4] 7.28 km (5:19 / km) +35m 5:12 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 yellow

Roadies at Apex Park Lake Albert. Ran with Dave and Phil and that was good as they dragged me along. Best run in a while, cooler weather certainly helped too.

Running 36:04 [3] 6.41 km (5:38 / km) +102m 5:13 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 yellow

Easy paced afternoon run in Young. Ventured to the western side of the town for the first time, and found it to be just as hilly as the rest of the town:-) enjoyed the cooler weather.

Running (Colour City Running 10km) 55:31 [4] 10.02 km (5:32 / km) +71m 5:21 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 15 yellow

In Orange for the "Colour City" running festival. I dropped back from the Half to the 10km as I simply hadn't done the training (plus have been a bit out of sorts with a couple of Dr visits). Glad I did as I struggled even with the 10km. OK out and back course with a different finish loop. Warm and course was hillier than expected. Time was slow but that was pretty much expected. Briohny ran a good Half and Trent and Deb also ran the 10km.
