Running race (Road Runners) 51:42 [5] 9.11 km (5:41 / km) +265m 4:57 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

Roadies handicap run at Willan's Hill. 2nd wearing of the new Trailroc 255's and 2nd thunderstorm! Maybe the shoes are jinxed! Ran pretty much the same time as 2 weeks back but a few hesitations due to the marked trail being washed out (there are lots of twists and turns on this run!) probably cost me about 30 seconds.

Running 58:21 [3] 10.5 km (5:33 / km) +52m 5:25 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 14 2nd pair w

Early finish from work today after long day in Sydney yesterday so an earlier and longer run this afternoon. Felt pretty good apart from a few twinges from my dodgy toes. Seeing the Doc next week to discuss X-ray results...

Running 29:30 [4] 5.4 km (5:28 / km) +90m 5:02 / km
shoes: Inov8 Trailroc 255

Stormy afternoon in Wagga so gave the new Inov8's (only arrived today) a baptism of wind, rain and lightning! Another variation on the Rocky Hill run plus some Kooringal streets. Rain hit in the last km but it was the very local lightning that made me run up the "big" hill for the first time ever!! Shoes very good, super light but great grip.

Running 38:00 [3] 7.01 km (5:25 / km) +61m 5:12 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 14 2nd pair w

Morning run with Deb from our hotel in central Melbourne down to the Tan where I did a lap and a bit and Deb did an out and back. Couple of showers of rain but otherwise an enjoyable run.

Note

Had x-rays on my big toes this morning. I've had a significant increase in joint discomfort (pain!) and reduced flexibility over the last few months and would like to know if anything can be done.

Running 34:49 [3] 5.75 km (6:03 / km) +127m 5:27 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 14 2nd pair w

Another variation on the Rocky Hill run, with a bit of nearby Kooringal thrown in. Really enjoying running here at the moment and "almost" enjoying the hills! No sign of the adbuctor niggle today

Running 41:33 [3] 7.33 km (5:40 / km) +107m 5:17 / km

Out the back and down to the waterworks park on the river then back, with a lap of the hill at the end. Getting pretty dark by the time I got to the narrow and overgrown single track: will need a head lamp next time! Noticed a twinge in one of my abductors in my right leg and a bit sore afterwards.

Roadies at Willan's Hill. Opted for the long course at a little over 9km despite the rumour of lots of hills! Actually found the going pretty good although a couple of the climbs were hard work. Especially enjoyed the single track sections.

Running 25:39 [3] 4.22 km (6:05 / km) +116m 5:21 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 14 2nd pair w

A short but hilly run on Rocky Hill out the back of our place. A really good place to run in cooler (and therefore no snakes!) weather. After today, I am really determined to find time in the next 12 months or so to produce an O map of this hill, the granite is just excellent and it is right at our back door! Although the area is quite small, it would make a very good club map, especially to introduce newcomers to granite terrain.

Nice afternoon run at the Lake. Started with Deb and she did a full lap whilst I added a bit more out past the golf club and along Plumpton Rd.

Orienteering 2:00:00 [2]
shoes: Inov8 Oroc 350

Putting out the Hard course controls at a wet Connorton for tomorrow's interclub event against Albury. Deb put out the Easy and Moderate course controls which was a great help and saved me a couple of hours. Although it was wet, it was great to be out in the forest.

Lap of the Lake after a day looking after Ryder. Nice conditions and was able to push quite hard by my recent standards. Also first run in over 2 weeks without a map in my hand!
