Running 55:06 [3] 10.5 km (5:15 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 10

Latish Sunday morning run. Deb and I went over to Rawlings Pk and she did a 5 km run in and around the park. I did a longer out onto the local (Sycamore, Elm, Mitchell) roads and then back past the Pony Club and home via the southern end of the lake.

Note

Mapping: on the run home with this now! Forest is looking great after a bit of rain. Hope it stays like this for the event, though August will be colder!

Running 1:11:30 [3] 13.5 km (5:18 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 10

My longest run since, well, I am not sure, probably the Melbourne Half last year! Mapping work has really played havoc with my (once) routine Sunday long runs but nearly finished that now.

A steady afternoon run: Plumpton, Boiling Down, Redbank, Lake Rd and then home via south end of the Lake, Nelson Drive and back onto Plumpton. Didn't see a soul early except a farmer on his tractor on Boiling Down Rd and then a couple of girls on horses on Redbank. Plenty of people around the Lake as usual, including the boss and his wife!

Running 38:55 [3] 7.5 km (5:11 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 10

Afternoon lap of the Lake from home and return. Felt a bit funny in the stomach but realised it was hunger:) Slow start then picked up the pace once I'd warmed up.

Running 40:50 [4] 8.1 km (5:02 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 10

First Road Runners event for me in 6 weeks and first run in over a week, due to my annual golf trip.

Very windy and quite warm for May and a hilly course! Kept a steady pace early as I knew the big hills were at the end of the course. Chatted to a few others along the way and felt pretty good overall despite the lack of running and excess beer intake over the last week!

Note

Back home after week long golf trip down at Yarrawonga CC. Very enjoyable week, great weather and some very good and very bad golf! Did enough to come home as the overall week winner, which is nice.

Note

Mapping today. No logging for the next week unless I can count golf! 6 days straight :-)

Running 31:10 [3] 5.6 km (5:34 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 9

Ran from home to Briohny's place via the spine of Willan's and then along the walking trail, around the reservoir and down past the Museum. Short but several of serious hills!

Running 47:10 [3] 9.0 km (5:14 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 9

Late afternoon run out to Rawlings Park via the Lake and back. Almost dark by the time I got back home and starting to cool down.

Orienteering race 31:10 [4] ** 3.5 km (8:54 / km)
spiked:13/14c shoes: Helly Hansen Trailcutter

Club Mother's Day event at Willan's Hill. Just ran the medium course as pressed for time as I had assisted a newcomer around the easy course. A bit of an advantage as many of the controls were the same as my course, so much so that I didn't read the map until after #7! Still managed my standard stuff-up, on an uphill leg, just wouldn't read the map. Not helped by forgetting my glasses...

Running 28:45 [3] 4.8 km (5:59 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 9

Run after work from Briohny's place up onto Willan's Hill and then did the August Roadies short course and then back home. Nice steady run with lots of chat.

Note
(rest day)

Golf this afternoon: started OK but developed the putting yips half way round: 2 x 4 putts and a 3 putt in 5 holes! Still managed 34 points mainly thanks for a birdie on the 8th, but also had 35 putts! Need to sort this out before my week away in 10 days time!

Running 25:00 [3] 4.5 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 9

Short first run in my new orthotics and I didn't much enjoy it! Managed just over 12 minutes and my feet were screaming so stopped and swapped the normal inner soles back in (had them in a bum-bag). Much more comfortable coming home. Guess it will take a while and they may need some adjusting. Will see how they go in the golf shoes tomorrow (yes, actually playing for the first time since prior to Easter) but will have the others ready to swap again!

Orienteering 49:05 [4] **** 4.8 km (10:14 / km)
shoes: Helly Hansen Trailcutter

Ran a course (without controls) out at the NSW Champs site, to confirm times/distances for Middle Dist Champs. Really enjoyed the run, although a bit weary (as the time shows) after 6 hours mapping earlier in the day. Some awesome rock out there and I think the section of map I ran will be great for the Middle.

Note

Mapping - a bit of a late start as I waited until Deb and Bri had left for the SLs. Also, not my brightest start to a day, after yesterday's Wagga Gold Cup and after races activities.

Managed to get back home in time to watch the 2nd half Hawks v Carlton. A very good game and the right result but Hawks almost tossed it away through poor kicking in the 3rd quarter when they should have put themselves out of reach.
