Though it hurt getting up in the morning, I had been feeling much better overall. Moving about through the day tends to ease the pain. I was doing some winter preparation chores around the house, one of which required me to pump some air. I couldn't find an electronic pump we have so I used a bicycle hand pump; I didn't push very hard, nor did I bend as much as I would have otherwise. I finished that chore just fine but when I bent again 5 minutes later, I felt a bit of movement at the base of the spine on the right side, and immediate pain. It started a whole cycle of pain shooting down my legs to my foot. At first, even sitting down wouldn't relieve the pain. Later, sitting down at least lessened it. I took some Ibuprofen and relaxed a short while. I'd been motivated to go to the Sugarloaf Craft Festival since this is the largest show of the year for that series so I got going. The festival is at the county fairgrounds. Walking was painful and slow for a while. I took relief by finding places to sit every now and then. My back got slightly better but it's been an uncomfortable day, and a setback.
