Orienteering (Field Checking) 2:00:00 [2] 3.0 mi (40:00 / mi)
(injured)

Lake Frank, Montgomery County, MD. I did more field checking. Recording a lot of detailed vegetation. I didn't cover a lot of ground however, I also got more detail on the area around the Nature Center. It was in the 60s F and humid. I got out just before a cold front brought rain.

Skating (Ice) 30:00 [2]
(injured)

Cabin John Ice Rink, Montgomery County. Max had quite a full day with a play date with a Russian pal, pizza lunch, a puppet show and ice cream. I got him to nap, then topped off the evening with his first ever try at ice skating. Keeping him up kept me busy. My arms felt it more than my ankles but Max was able to keep his feet under him at times. We probably were going at about 2 minutes per lap at our fastest. We wondered what Peggy was doing out in the woods this evening.

Calisthenics (General) 2:00 [3]
weight:175lbs (injured)

Stuck home because of plumbers working on our hot water heater replacement and working from home all day, I didn't do a proper workout. It was rather dreary outside anyway. 45 situps.

Bicycling (Commute) 25:41 [2] 3.56 mi (7:13 / mi)
slept:7.0 weight:173.5lbs (injured)

With the day off for the Veteran's Day holiday, from Northfield Rd., I towed Max around Bethesda from playground to playground. The public schools in the area were open so we kept changing our destinations. Finally we ended up at Hillmead Park. It was a bit cool out but it was warming quickly. After going home, Max helped me clean up leaves.

Orienteering (Field Checking) 2:41:18 [3] 3.0 mi (53:46 / mi)
slept:6.0 weight:173lbs (injured)

Lake Frank, Montgomery County, MD. From the southern parking area I field checked north of Lank Frank. Covering a green area in a part of the park that I hadn't seen before, it was slow going. However there were some interesting features too.

Bicycling (Commute) 11:53 [2] 1.12 mi (10:37 / mi)
slept:5.5 weight:174lbs (injured)

From Northfield Rd., I towed Max on his "new" trailer bike to/from a playground at Bradley Hills Elementary School.

Orienteering race (Foot) 1:26:50 [3] *** 9.2 km (9:26 / km) +310m 8:05 / km
spiked:14/19c (injured)

QOC: Little Bennett Regional Park. My race today was a bit better than the one the previous night but not by much. I did feel tired earlier than normal however, I just made too many mistakes again. I had trouble keeping a straight bearing several times. I'm not sure the reason why. My compass had a bubble in it but it's been there many times before. The mistakes from the previous night also gave me enough uncertainty about what I was doing that I didn't I lacked confidence to make good decisions. Some of all this might come down to now being able to run faster than before and over-running my map reading ability in this terrain. I ran fast enough to the point of where oxygen debt helped me orienteer badly. Despite being tired early on, I trudged through well enough to the end.
