Running (Street & Trail) 12:47 [4] 1.99 mi (6:25 / mi)
slept:4.0

After my flight and taxi ride home to Bethesda, MD, I wasn't very hungry. At 11:30pm, 60F and in between the rains I got in a run following the bigger loop of the hilly 5K route backwards.

Weights (General) 2:00 [3]
slept:6.0

After yesterday and with it being warmish out, mentally I was looking forward to running hard today. However working into the wee hours in Overland Park, KC, I only managed to return to my hotel and do 4 pushups (before my previously injured right shoulder hurt too much) and 45 situps. It was probably just as well so that my ankle rested some.

Orienteering (Competition) 2:01:50 [4] 11.0 km (11:05 / km)
slept:6.5

Possum Trott VIII at Camp Naish, KS, west of Kansas City, MO. I made a bad error at control #3, probably running too fast for reading properly. This broke my contact and probably contributed to my making more errors than others. I didn't feel that I orienteered to my potential for this terrain but enjoyed the day and a chance to run it. I skipped controls 18 and 19 in accordance with race rules but these were probably not the best skips. I made other errors and further injured my right ankle near the end--see the Split List.
