Figure 8 through Hyde Park. Got home and double checked the distance, but Garmin was correct.

The tv stopped working last night. Checked again this morning and still not working. Started researching new ones and had made a selection. Had identified the tv and retailer and had almost completed the order. Thought I would give the old tv one last chance and it sprang to life. Clearly the threat of being replace shock it back to life.

Through Fitzrovia to Regents Park vis a new route. Then a couple of laps of Primrose Hill before heading home.
Lately haven’t been entirely sure about the Garmin accuracy, so did some spot checks. Did 3 one k checks, Two in the park and one in the streets and each was pretty much spot on.

Inverted pyramid (20, 15, 10, 5, 10, 15, 20) for 6 exercise set.

The UK government has a daily press conference, which of late has served to highlight the incompetence of the government and the bungling of their response. They have now announced 5 requirements before the current lockdown restrictions will be lifted. Unfortunately, on present performance at least one of these is unachievable so we may be doomed to stay in lockdown.

Some one summed up the situation with "Tory voters next time there is an election stay at home, save lives and protect the NHS."

Regents Park. Another glorious day. So far the weather for lockdown has been really nice, with a 4 week+ stretch of fine mild weather and no opportunity to travel anywhere

Along south bank to Tower Bridge, across the bridge around the tower and back on the north bank. Solid run. The streets are really quiet. Not a huge number of people running, but still outnumbered the cars on the road

Another great morning for a run. A bit concerned about muttering by the Health Secretary that exercise may be removed from the list of valid reasons to leave home. Hoping if the rules do change it will only be about people doing exercise sessions in the park, and that they are not banning all outside exercise, given they have also closed all the gyms.

Really nice morning for a run.
The weekend will be an interesting test for the locals to see how well they go with staying home in the face of some nice weather. Sunny and 20 would usually mean crowds flocking to the parks and gardens which is greatly frowned upon at present. At the daily press briefing yesterday, the Health Secretary bluntly told people not to go out over the weekend. Now to see if they obey
