Lockes Hill Loop Trail, Gilford, NH. I had a much more ambitious plan, but checked it due to high humidity and thunderstorm forecast. Was a nice trip around a pretty area, and bugs weren't awful.

Area across from the Shaws in Groton, then up the powerline a bit. Cut out early as it was hot! Surprised a mother turkey and her chicks on the way back to the store.

More clamoring over blowdowns. I'm still amazed at the amount of devastation created by the storm two weeks ago. At least I was able to see lots of telescopes!
