A nice long loop through the Stepinski parcel connecting on the Railroad track to East Boston camps. Saw a beaver which made Brooke very, very happy.

Back to the Stepinski property to explore a bit further, now that I understand the trails a bit more. Had to turn around before the end of the trail as it was flooded out and I wasn't wearing my hiking shoes. And I didn't run into any dogs!! :-).

Checking out a new parcel of trails not too far from the house. Again a long time to get a lock so time and distance adjusted from track. Got freaked out by a growling/barking dog that came charging at me. Explain to me why owners of these sort of dogs walk around with the leach in their hands instead of on their dog! Very frustrating!

East Boston Camps, found some un-blazed trails that appeared on the map that I've never taken, which must have been added by mountain bikers. Gave me a bit of elevation.

Note

Round trip up to Gibbett Hill for the sunset. Couldn't get a lock so didn't wait. Bit windier than I would have liked and I ended up pretty cold.

Mid-State Trail with J-J. New section for me, from Bushy Lane to Barre Falls Dam. Was certainly busier than I've seen the Mid-state since I started doing this in sections. Always thought it was a pretty deserted trail.
