Time approx. Such a warm day so went to Plum Island with JJ and thought he had timed it, but he didn't log it, so I'm not sure. Probably last sand workout for my feet for the season.

Day Off! Should have been a good day, but.. I need to keep navigating from where I am, not from where I wanted to be. But sometimes there are just days when I can't stop thinking about where I had wanted to be. Problem is, I have no idea how to get there. How long do you keep looking around in the hopes of finding the control, when in fact, it might not even be there anymore? Orienteering is sometimes much easier than real life... Blew off the exercise..

Orienteering race 2:12:41 [3] 4.65 km (28:32 / km)
slept:3.0

Lesson to be learned-follow your instincts. I had thought that I should do Brown since my week preceeding the meet was going to be especially difficult. It would have been a better idea, I think, since I ended up having a pretty horrible time. No idea how to reorient myself so I lost so much time standing around very close to the control on numerous occassions. I promised myself a two marjarita dinner if I finished. So the day wasn't a total loss.

Day Off!
