Old City Road,, Townsend. I wanted something short, close to home but still moving the Citystrides project forward. This was the perfect choice.

Cannon Mountain, Franconia, NH. 14 runs in pretty slushy snow, especially at the end, of course interspersed with some decent ice. My first time at this area, even though I've frequently been in the area before. First year on the Indy Pass, so I finally made my pilgrimage to check it out. Arrived around 10am and got on the lift in fairly short order thanks to the very short line for lift tickets (I had a reservation but still needed to pick up on site. Struggled with the zip ties as I'm either used to a wire wicket or the RFID cards. Lift lines were fairly long, as so many of us were riding the quad chairs in groups of one or two. Will be happy next year to be able to ride with other folk so I can get some chatting in.

Waterville Valley, Campton, NH. 6 runs before a bathroom break. Took quite a while to get started, as the line for lift tickets was very long, followed by long lift lines. And the lines continued long throughout the day. Of course, since the weather was so beautiful, it was hard to care very much.

Waterville Valley, forgot to start my watch again after the quick break, so missed the ride up the T-bar to the top. 8 runs including the Poma lift. Getting pretty slushy by the end with pools of water at the lift line. Messed up with return to the car, so did lots of steps carrying skis in my ski boots. Argh!

Howard Park, Townsend with an added bonus of finishing up School St. Tried to get out before the rain, and I was somewhat successful, but it was starting to drizzle pretty significantly by the end. More ice on the trails than I was expecting considering the recent weather. Was able to go around on the side though.

Brown, Coop Mills, Glastonbury, CT, part of the HVO/WCOC Winter Series. I'm pretty disappointed with my run/walk today as I made two major errors, which is one more than usual for me. The woods were so much nicer than yesterday that maybe I was moving faster than usual and didn't take the time to really navigate. #4 and #6 were huge! And happy to have finished before the crazy snow squalls came through!

Short Course, High Rock Reservation, NEOC Winter Training. Not thrilled with the woods with lots of crappy rock underfoot. Dressed a little to warmly, but was a nice day to be out. Happy to have beat J-J and Clint back to the cars.

Squannacook Wildlife Mgmt Area. Nice loop combining some very pleasant walking along the river, with the ability to check off some streets in Townsend, including the rest of the Zodiacs. Not quite as warm as yesterday, but still a beautiful day to be outside.

Ashby Rd +, Townsend. This was supposed to be a much shorter walk, but I didn't realize that the bridge was going to be completely out on Berkharnt Rd, so I continued on. Looking back, I might have been better off just turning around, but I soldiered on and completed the loop without dying.

Sauna Row +, Townsend. I don't like wind! So I searched for a walk that would be a sheltered as possible. This fit the bill nicely and I go it in before the area was embargoed.
