hiking 1:17:54 [3] 5.15 km (15:08 / km) +87m 13:57 / km

Mid-State Trail from Russell Hill Road to Route 12 and back. Picked up this bit of trail so that, if J-J wants to redo this part of the track, we can park at Jewell HIll Road and do it Point to Point heading south. Was quite wet in a number of places, so mosquitos were plentiful. Not the most interesting terrain, but a few nice parts.
4 PM

Walking on the Beach 22:32 [3] 1.77 km (12:44 / km)

From the parking to my chair planting.

Walking on the Beach 46:27 [3] 3.7 km (12:33 / km) +2m 12:31 / km

Crane Beach, Ipswich. Love this beach at low tide!

Walking on the Beach 22:31 [3] 1.66 km (13:35 / km) +6m 13:20 / km

Heading back to the parking at Crane Beach. Love these days when I log both a beautiful walk through the woods and some quality relaxing time at the beach.

Kayaking 1:03:27 [3] 2.48 mi (25:35 / mi)

On a section of the Nashua River. I'm not very good at navigating around downed trees over the river. Still fun.

Note

A great weekend. Rough start, but.. A show with Rachel, a Margarita, lots of lobster, a beautiful hike, some Wimbledon, fireworks, a paddle and a trip to the beach. Too bad about the lighthouse (so close!).
1 PM

Kayaking 54:28 [3] 2.27 mi (24:00 / mi) +1m 23:57 / mi

Merrimac River, Newburyport. Cashman Park Boat Ramp with J-J. Shake down paddle, first of the season. Probably bit off more than we could chew. Lots of chop from strong head wind and lots of boat traffic, especially heading under the Route 1 bridge. Ended up turning around just before getting to the lighthouses (my goal) and played around in amongst the many marina boats. Why were so many tied up on such a beautiful Sunday?
4 PM

Walking on the Beach 16:54 [3] 0.84 mi (20:07 / mi)

Crane's Beach with J-J from the car to the first resting place. Lot's of moves after as the low tide moved higher.
7 PM

Walking on the Beach 19:02 [3] 0.89 mi (21:20 / mi) +6m 20:56 / mi

Crane's beach walk in from the sandbar to the car.

hiking 2:41:26 [3] 6.08 km (26:32 / km) +275m 21:38 / km

Bald Mountain, Antrim, NH. Been wanting to do this hike for a long time, so I took this chance, even though I didn't have company to bring the kayaks along. I have now finished the top 13 summits in the Monadnock region. First part is full hiking but the remaining 30 minutes is more wandering and exploring. Pretty steep on the way up and I was disappointed on my progress but the lovely views across the valley to the Wapack range and Mount Monadnock on this beautiful day was great!
