My goal this spring was to get back into orienteering and on the last day of my spring season, I was pretty pleased as to how I did.

Couldn't decide between the regular and pygmy goat. Went with trying to do the regular, and should have done the pygmy (especially when I found out how warm it was going to be). But it wasn't the warmth but the hot spots on my feet that made me decide to give up at the half-way point and actually be able to enjoy the social side of orienteering instead of being out in the woods for hours by myself. Still..wish I had a result instead of a dnf..

Nottingcook Forest one day early. Since I had to work tomorrow, Bob emailed me the map and luckily he saw me just as I was heading out and let me know which controls to avoid as they weren't hung yet. Maybe J-J can work some magic and figure out what the "course" distance was as it was a score-O and I have no idea how far I went. Was going pretty great until about 1hr 40min it when I couldn't figure out where I was. Finally bailed and went on to check off another couple of controls. Good thing it wasn't official as I was almost 20 minutes over time.
