Running 29:26 [3] 4.44 km (6:38 / km) +165m 5:35 / km
ahr:138 max:186 shoes: Hoka pillows

Up the seat and back from the accommodation with Jonas, Cameron and a couple flat mates. Intensity/threshold sesh on the way up the climb and fairly steady on the way back. First time going up, amazing views as expected, can’t believe I live here now.

Strength and Conditioning 10:00 [1]

For some reason felt inspired to do this. Various leg exercises and a wee bit of core stuff. FIrst time doing Bulgarians, big ouchie after 10 on each side basically collapsed to the floor.

Note
(rest day)

Too busy with moving in and general Uni stuff to squeeze anything in. Seat looking delectable tho

Friday Sep 8 #

Running 45:05 [2] 8.39 km (5:22 / km) +106m 5:03 / km
ahr:136 max:160 shoes: SalmonSpeedX6

Easy acw Estates loop. Was going to head up the cairn but opted for cooler forest as its outrageously hot. Still feeling the effects of the climbing which tells me i need to do more s&c and also not recovered that much from Sunday.

Thursday Sep 7 #

Running 48:57 [2] 8.95 km (5:28 / km) +137m 5:05 / km
shoes: SalmonSpeedX6

Easy Clune circumference. Feeling fine but not amazing, core and legs still quite sore from yesterday but in a good way. Had a bit of gi issues for the first time in a while which slightly spoiled a lovely route if the 10000 ticks hadn’t already. hrm having a bit of a moment.

Wednesday Sep 6 #

Road Cycling 47:43 [2] 19.0 km (23.9 kph) +286m
ahr:129 max:152 shoes: Coppi

Recovery cycle. Legs not feeling it so had to drop the speed to keep things easy.

Climbing 20:00 [1]

Wasn’t going to log this but glutes + core quite sore the day after so could be relevant.

Running 25:05 [5] 6.69 km (3:45 / km) +98m 3:30 / km
ahr:166 max:191 shoes: SalmonSpeedX6

DR (5x2mins flat with 1 min rec) (4x1min hills with jog down rec) (5x2mins flat with 1 min rec)

Very enjoyable sesh in a type 2 kind of way. Pushed things, not feeling at my best but in an expected way after Sunday. Got to finally meet the infamous Cal Kitching, fan girl moment. He even pushed me to go sub threes on the final rep and i died a death. A bit sad that this is the last sesh for a while but there will be plenty of self torture potential at Uni.

Running 7:02 [2] 1.31 km (5:22 / km)
ahr:136 max:150 shoes: SalmonSpeedX6

cd with river dip

MTB 1:22:18 [2] 14.68 km (10.7 kph) +519m
shoes: Tmbrjx

Mucking about at Tarland Trails with a Banchory mob. Good fun, lots of slow climbing but a bit of harder ebike racing climbing. Only one on hard tail so a bit dropped on the descents, but had a go on a full sus and forgot how easy and forgiving they are. Back into Aboyne or ice cream afterwards. Excellent day.

Physio Exercises 16:30 [0]

Getting it done

Stretching 10:00 [0]

Quads very sore + trying not to be dead for reps tomorrow. Not entirely convinced by this, haven’t felt any major differences yet.
