Well cold, so a bit of movement needed before the O. Coughing mostly under control.

Run - Orienteering race 1:01:37 intensity: (27 @0) + (15 @1) + (22 @2) + (8:06 @3) + (24:14 @4) + (28:13 @5) 11.54 km (5:20 / km) +78m 5:10 / km

NOC regional event, Brown, 10.8km.
Had to keep this at a very steady pace to control the breathing, but even then I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep the pace up. Started in a brambly bit of wood where it was advisory to stick to the paths. Once I didn't and once I couldn't see one on the map.

Last 3/4 of the course was around very fast and easy parkland, which wasn't too bad as the firm ground was easy underfoot and much appreciated today. Also still misty so everything was slightly eerie, which made it a bit more interesting. Happy with the pace considering my current limitations and was actually enjoyable to do a fast easy course when I didn't try to push at all. Failed on SIAC when I didn't activate it at the start (so non-SIAC).

Bike - Gravel 2:12:09 intensity: (16:42 @1) + (58:01 @2) + (34:40 @3) + (18:31 @4) + (4:15 @5) 27.94 km (4:44 / km) +362m 4:27 / km

Afternnoon ride around the red loop at Sherwood Pines with Caitlin. She directed us to the forest but only manged to get us within 7km! Still, the connecting ride was really nice and the parking was free! Really nice loop for a gravel bike and it would have been fun to push hard had the legs been fresh. Technically very easy compared to the red routes at Afan! Tired by the end of the ride.

Ride with Caitlin around the White Peak. Mix of bridleways and lanes, so quite nice and nothing too muddy or sticky. Pretty cold though and could only see further than about 50m when in the very bottom of the valleys. Cold outside lunch at a cafe just after half way, which was nice but a bit busy and service slow. Lungs and cough coped with it okay, but glad that the pace was easy.

2.5 hour walk with Caitlin around Burbage. Nice to be back in the Peals but also a little frustrating that this was as much as I could manage to day. Cold and still with some sun coming through. Still quite a cough when it gets going (which isn't that often at the moment).

Note
(sick)

Cough still nasty at time but otherwise okay. 14 hours of work finishing everything for Christmas, so no time to do anything even had I been able.

Note
(sick)

Still improving, in fact feeling mostly normal away from my chest - still coughing and wheezy breathing going on there, so no SWOC Maprun for me this evening.

Tuesday Dec 14, 2021 #

Note
(sick)

Terrible nights sleep, but feeling better in the morning. Chest very wheezy and lots of coughing fits. No MDC for me today.

Note
(sick)

Picked up a cold, presumably from last Friday. Went down hill all day. Unusual damp feeling in my chest which made deep breathing impossible and getting to sleep difficult. Also a horrible taste in my throat when coughing.
