TYWi Forest, 5 hour MTBO Score (but I ran).
Wanting another long run so opted to run around the MTBO map rather than cycle. Visited controls that were on a nice loop but didn't punch. Feeling quite a bit more energetic than last week and moving much better, but there was a lot of roads and compacted gravel so conditions also better - fewer and less steep climbs as well.

Took more food with me this week and started eating much earlier, also filled my bottle in a stream so drank a bit more - cold rain for the last hour so needed to drink less anyway, was lovely and sunny prior to that (save for a quick hail storm). Nowhere near as tired towards the end compared to last week, but don't know if that was conditioning, eating better or the slightly easier route...

Right side ended up a little sore: small blister on my ankle bone; some nerve pain in my foot; and twisted the ankle a bit (freak twist, slipped into a rut and got caught in the bottom). Happy to finish but was still moving okay. (Thanks to GD44 for giving me a map).

SWOC Local, Storey Arms, Blue, 6.1km, 275m, 14 controls.
Very physical course, either slogging up hill or going straight down, only two legs that could come close to being described as contouring. A few small misses, maybe 45 seconds total, but struggling to achieve any pace, but think that was as much to do with the terrain than me. Enjoyed.

MDC run from Llangattock. Almost didn't happen as no one had signed up by Sunday afternoon. Glad it did though, as it is somewhere that I have been wanting to explore and Daren Cilau was well worth a visit. Linking paths weren't quite so great, but at least they were well enough used to (mostly) keep the nettles back. It didn't even rain! More exploration needed around here.
