Easy cycle on the mountain bike exploring the local cycle routes. Need a new bike for this type of ride, the trails are too fast and smooth for a mtb bike but too dirty and twisty for a road bike... Glorious day again, bit of a nippy wind but lots of sunshine.

Not feeling very motivated this morning but thought a bit of a work out and some O practice would be a good idea before next weekend. Glad I made the effort as I really enjoyed it and it was a glorious spring day.

The map wasn't so glorious, really, really needs a re-survey with lidar. In fact, just a basic update would help a lot (any area marked as open was basically impenetrable). However, managed to avoid those bits and it was only the badly depicted slope at the last control that caught me out (45 seconds or so).

Don't know what was up with the HRM, it was fine during the warm up but gave a very low reading through the race (I was trying). Maybe change the battery for next weekend. Results and stuff here.

Bit of an explore north of Caerphilly. Legs felt quite crap and it was spitting the whole way around, so never really got into it. Nice to be able to do 2 hours without it being hard work when you're not feeling it though.
