Stiff this morning, shuffling around, but not painful. Opted for a nice easy bike to loosen out a bit. Up the Taff trail a bit and messing around, nice to be out but too many pedestrians who don't understand the concept of a shared cycle/footpath - would they let their kids/dogs run around like that on a road??? I hate traffic lights.

Longest run I've ever done and it was very enjoyable for the mast part, though the second half did hurt quite a bit. Amazing day to be out and it was fun to explore a completely new route, though there was a bit too much on forest roads for my legs liking. Pretty spent by the end.

Lots of little ups and downs but nothing serious after the first hill (which I intentionally got out of the way at the start) so kept moving okay for the whole thing, heart rate was still higher than it should have been though. Think I spent about 15 minutes (not timed) stationary - mostly eating.

Surprising how many people were out enjoying the sunshine, especially cycling on the National Cycle Route (Shminty must be doing a good job) and even saw another runner! PB for marathon also set (4.09.10 I think).

(rest day)

Long run planned in the sunshine tomorrow and as I still wasn't quite right last night I didn't want to over do it.

Hills on Craig-yr-Allt, well sort of, I still wasn't feeling 100% so didn't push all that hard, heart rate was particularity high though. Lovely evening out and the views were great from the top, happy to be feeling a bit better running again. Forgot my shoes so borrow (a slightly big) pair of X-talons, comfortable fit, light and good grip but very thin soles meant you could feel every stone - how do people orienteer in these???

(rest day)

Feeling a touch off colour all day, not actually ill but not right either. Planned to have it easy today anyways.

MDC run from St Brides, massive crowd out on a blustery but dry evening. Still feeling way off colour and pottering along was as much as I could manage. A little bit more of the coast path ticked off.

Run - Trail 1:27:05 intensity: (45 @0) + (3 @1) + (16:04 @2) + (51:48 @3) + (12:13 @4) + (6:12 @5) 15.35 km (5:40 / km) +201m 5:20 / km

Run from Charles' in Bristol with the man himself, Mark and Ben. Started feeling pretty good but as soon as I tried to push a little harder on the first hill I realised that my body was still a bit broken, so just took it very easy from then on. Was spent by the end, run was twice as long as my body was capable of doing. Not a nice feeling, nice run though.
