Note

Too much decent sport on ‘telly today and not enough willpower from me resulted in overly excessive static-ness. Starting from tomorrow I will become a better person.

Mapping 30:00 [0]
shoes: Adidas Kanadia TR2

Evening mapping Acorn Hill in Malinbridge (3 hours). Full of seasonal brambles as I was expecting but otherwise some nice bits. Mad humid out.

Up Porter to see if I could make a loop about 10km, failed by 2m…. Not pushing at all but found it surprisingly hard work and my heart rate was pretty high, don’t know why that was, but hopefully just because I’ve done so little running over the past few weeks.

A busy day spent achieving very little in total. Though at least my inbox in now empty.

SYO Club Night circuit lead by Kim, a really good core and ankle focused session but unfortunately only one new guy turned up to take advantage of it. I know that I hadn’t been able to advertise it properly due to being away, but I was expecting a least a few of the local orienteers to turn up. Note for next year; Finish Club Night for the summer break in mid June at the latest.

Note

Long day travelling back to the much hotter and sunnier UK – don’t get to say that very often.

Have written up the rest of the trek and orienteering from last week.

Note

Proper tourists for the day as we headed out around the Golden Circle (actually more of a line but I guess that doesn’t sound so good!), Very impressed with the geyser. A long dip in the local pool for the evening (slides and hot pools, what more do you need?). Iceland is nice, not cheap but not desperately expensive as I was expecting either. Well worth a visit.
