Run - Trail 15:00 [2] 2.2 km (6:49 / km) +115m 5:24 / km
(injured) shoes: VJ Falcons

Run up to the start with the Candy’s in the misty morning cold and a much easier jog back down from the finish in the sun.

Run - Orienteering 41:00 [3] ** 5.2 km (7:53 / km) +160m 6:50 / km
spiked:15/16c slept:7.0 (injured) shoes: VJ Falcons

New map of Big Moor so had to go out and explore, ran M65L (which is probably about right with how I feel!). Lovely bit of wood below the edge where only the massive rocks were mapped (but were at least consistent) and then out onto some nice and some not very nice moor where there was hardly any detail and yet still only the big things were mapped (why not put more detail on when the area allows it???). Enjoyed being out and the steep climb up the edge aside, I coped reasonably well – don’t know how the genuine M65’s managed to read the 1:15,000 size symbols on the 1:10,000 map though).

Run - Trail 40:00 [2]
slept:6.5 weight:70.5kg (injured) shoes: Asics Trabuco 12 WR

Jog around the paths of Beeley as I didn’t want to spend two consecutive days in the terrain (and I want to run tomorrows). A beautiful day, open woods, brambles and bracken flattened by the snow and nice courses made me wish that I was orienteering, but I think being a wus was the right option!

slept:6.0 weight:70.5kg (injured) shoes: Asics Trabuco 12 WR

Back home from the Foxhouse, despite nearly being entirely downhill I was dead on my legs the whole way. Bitter northerly blowing across Burbage and still plenty of snow in all the hollows, but the sun was out and I am alive, so overall probably a good day.

Run - Orienteering 35:00 [1] 4.5 km (7:47 / km) +75m 7:11 / km
slept:6.0 weight:70.5kg (injured) shoes: Asics 2140

SYO Clubnight night O around the Collegiate and Hospitals, collected tapes as I planned (and forgot to add a scale or north lines…). Mostly new area so hopefully not much of it was familiar to many who did it and that it provided a bit of a challenge (and as a bonus no one got shot in Broomhall). Fell on my way back through Collegiate and realised why I have been trying so hard not to fall over the past few months – also ripped a hole in my only respectable (?) pair of lycra :-(

Run - Road 41:15 [4] 8.8 km (4:41 / km) +110m 4:25 / km
slept:7.0 weight:70kg (injured) shoes: Asics 2140

Tried to run a little harder, which I did and it was indeed harder. Respectable pace on the flat but steeper hills are still murdering me and this really was the limit of what I’m capable of at the moment.
Saw a gorgeous girl running in Endcliffe who waved at me from the other side of the river – can’t work out who she was though.
