Note
slept:8.3 (injured) (sick)

Good news is that it’s not a bad cold; bad news is that I still have to stay in doors all day and miss playing in the snow :-(

slept:9.0 (injured) (sick) (rest day)

Rest required and got, not only because of the additional exercise but also because I now have a stinking annoying cold. It doesn’t feel like it’s going to be a bad one but why have I got one now when I am back doing a little exercise and not when I was sitting around with nothing to do???

Run - Trail 1:00:00 [3] 9.2 km (6:31 / km) +30m 6:25 / km
slept:6.15 (injured)

Run back to the car (again with a back pack) in the hope that it wasn’t covered in snow. Plough had made it just past it before turning around so the road was slippery but clean to drive out on. Run again was beautiful running across the moors in fresh snow. Need a rest though.

Run - Trail 1:20:50 [3] 12.4 km (6:31 / km) +170m 6:06 / km
slept:6.5 weight:71kg (injured)

A Proper run. In snow and on paths and stuff. And a long one. Suffering now though. An hour was okay, after that it was a struggle. Great to be out though. Burbage looked amazing. Ice and snow frozen to all the rocks but not to deep top get through. Wasn't planning such a long run but I couldn't refuse the conditions. Saw an eijit on the road who wanted a push in their van, left them at it, if they can be so stupid to try and drive up a sheet of ice they are probably best left alone. Saw some climbers as well. Properly running hungry now.

Run - Trail 30:00 [2] 4.2 km (7:09 / km) +80m 6:31 / km
(injured)

Unplanned session: heading to Tan Hill pub in the Northern Dales for New year but snow made it unassailable, so abandoned the car and started to run through the blizzard (so as not to miss dinner!). Thankfully a friendly local gamekeeper passed a few of the group on the road in his Land Rover and made an extra trip to pick up the 10 or so of us trudging through the snow. Full moon and fresh snow – would have loved it had I not been shagged from the morning already.

Busy. Plus a little lazy.

Bike - Static 30:00 [2]
rhr:48 slept:7.0 (injured)

Did a little mapping around Hunter’s Bar this morning but couldn’t manage more than 3 hours before getting a sore back, so did a short bike session instead of increasing the uncomfortableness on my legs. Also mighty slippery out where the compacted icy snow is still lying.

Physio exercises 10:00 [0]

Asics 2140’s for half price (£40) in Decathlon. Whoop. Already have a brand new pair but one can’t refuse an offer like that. Why are the Banks shut today? Unless money grabbers…
