Run back from junior parkrun (after Penny set a PB by 58 seconds - and could easily have gone faster). Surprised to be feeling quite okay and extended the route up onto Ilkley Moor as I was having fun.

Run from Grindleford with Nicky. Amazing how much of this I've forgotten considering I used to run it regularly. kept having flashbacks of things and places that were about to come up that I had completely forgotten about. Also forgotten how physical it is jumping from stone-to-stone along the edges.

Sort of fartlek session up the Garth. Did a warm up loop and then went up the Shredder, feeling okay but not awesome so pleased with the time. Also did a full descent effort (end of the Garth to the river) - heart rate was near max even though steep downhill. Good wee session.

HFW. Lots of traffic in town and lots of people in the way on the TT, plus it was too nice to put any effort in so took it very easy (second highest total of cyclists ever this evening: 98).

Nice and easy evening doddle in the sunshine with Rcro. Loop from Caerphilly Mtn towards Rudry, taking in a few new paths (and a couple of angle dogs - why don't owners put muzzles on aggressive dogs?). Saw two other groups of trail runners!

MDC run around the Steam Bunny route, only we skipped the last in to ensure making food on time. Ran the hills okay, but it was wet and slippery and I also felt a little light headed, not as bad as last week but enough so I didn't want to push on too much either.

Along the Wales Coast Path from Fishguard to Cardigan with John and Nicky. Lovely day (at last), sunny most of the time, although a bit hazy and some wind. Backpack was a reasonable weight but about right to feel comfortable running with the other two. Had a nice picnic just after half way but otherwise didn't stop much. Ran an extra 2km at the end to meet up with where the MDC relay finished - so nice doing this bit without a bag! Grand day out.

MDC run up Cribyn and Pen-y-fan. Okay up the first hill but completely wiped for the second and third, didn't even try to run them (which I managed last year despite coming off races). Very misty, but surprised how easy the route was to follow from memory (although Martyn had a few issues which meant we only just made the food in time - he was nearly very unpopular!).

MDC run around Wentwood. really enjoyed this despite it not being a very exciting location. Lovely evening, mild and not raining! Plenty of mud about though. Legs were great, so treated it more like a farlek session with quite a few decent efforts thrown in. Some great paths here but it would take quite a bit of knowledge to learn what is nice and what is not! Shame they've felled about half of the only part of the area that wasn't full of brambles.

JK Relays, Beaudesert, M120+, Leg 3, 5.0km, 175m, 24 controls.
Went out in 4th I think, some 40 seconds down on SYO. Somehow, despite a really awful run, managed to come back in second.

Started well and was doing my own thing until #10 where Oli suddenly appeared right in front of me (think he lost time somewhere here as well?). Slowed down to be safe but things had already gone wrong as I was reading the leg to #14. Things there got worse when I found #13, not knowing it was mine, but realising what I had done. Didn't know where I was but then manage to relocated off #12 (and saw Oli leaving it), then back to #11.

Kept up the muppetry by leaving #12 and heading towards #14... And again by making the route between #20 and #21 four times longer than it should have been. Best part of 4 minutes lost. Luckily I have good team mates!
