Note

Well- finally got frustrated enough w/ the constantly recurring inner-leg/groin/hip pain *after* longer runs and saw the sports doc today. Diagnosis is "Femoral acetabular impingement". Basically my bones are shaped just wrong enough to cause problems. Got X-rayed and MRI'd today, talk w/ the doc more on Monday after he looks at MRI results.

Glad that I'm starting to get answers, but a bit deflated by the thought that this might significantly hinder how far I can go in developing as an orienteering athlete.

Sounds like there will be some options when it comes to training regimens, muscle rebalancing, or even surgery, but that will all be discussed on Monday. In the mean time I wait in suspense.

They also found that one of my legs is slightly shorter than the other, and confirmed my suspicions that my right hamstring is too tight (same side I'm having all the other issues on).
