Scottish Relays 3rd leg- Sluie

Pretty good and enjoyed this quite a lot. Apart from big mistake on #5 where I wasn't the only one, apparently may have been in the wrong place. Thought maybe as when I relocated after I overshot it, my bearing back was off again but apart from that it was good for the rest. Took a bad route to #3 mainly just because I was unnecessarily hacking through windblown trees.

Wore Alice x talons again for both races and felt really good, so odd because the ones that irritated achilles were the same size just maybe a tighter style.

Scottish Champs - Glen Dye - 3rd w18, 5 mins off iris

Not great run today, firstly messed up on #3 in the control circle, nearly ran past it but didn't see it so ended up in a parallel re-entrant. #7 was a bit lower than I expected, #8 was a big mistake as I ended up falling over crossing the river and couldn't find a bank to get up on the other side which I think distracted me and I didn't zone back in properly so thought I was already on the adjacent line of hills, relocated but ended up trekking across the marsh. #15 I ended up leaving the track earlier than I thought so even though my bearing was right, I was lower down in the re-entrant by the control, this may have lead to a very off bearing on #16. The rest was generally ok but a couple of scrappy ones. Overall I think I need to focus on being able to zone back in properly after things like track running/stream crossing and getting some more confidence before the summer.

But really enjoyed it, never run on her before, very beautiful forest.

V beautiful easy run in the sun up to Ringinglow (backwards route) + 4 x strides.
Legs feeling alright, needed to eat something more before this as hit me at the end but not the end of the world. Somehow kept swallowing flies which i gyess made up for it :)
