We started well with our closest competitors' headlamps hot on our tails. the night navigating continued to go well. Except then the wheels fell off around 2am. We named those next cpuple of hours "the cluster in Custer". We had to change our route plan in order to get back in time.

It was still good enough for the overall win. I like beating all the boys!

Final stats....90 km of distance with 4600 ft of elevation gain. Not a bad training weekend!

Orienteering 11:45:00 [3] 48.0 km (14:41 / km) +815m 13:32 / km

First half of rogaine went very smoothly with some bang on navigating, even at night. We swept the southern half of the course on schedule and had time for a quick chili break at the hash. We found out that one other team had almost swept it, and another almost cleaned up the north. we had to stay on our game.

My boss let me out for a run in the sunshine this morning. It's been a long time since I've run on Nose Hill. I just don't seem to run in the city anymore....and why would I?
