Hudson Highlander XX
A nice day (cool) and a challenging course. A bit too challenging for me, finishing 5 minutes overtime. I had no big errors, so could I have saved that time with better route choice, less time at the aid stations, or other? Maybe, but it didn't happen.
Started with Francis H. Around #9 he remembered a two hour cutoff for the first loop, so I went ahead on my own. Got to the end: no time limit. Caught up to Sharon on the trail run. She missed the first trail junction and lost about 10 minutes. Used some trails on the Surebridge section, which seemed to be a mistake, as they seemed to only go up.
Finished with sore feet, a sore back and completely exhausted legs. Will I do this again? Well, I have a short memory.
