Cabrillo College
Sprint, 2.0km, M75, 1:4000
The sprint area was fairly compact with many buildings. It was on a hillside so that several buildings had two levels available for control placement. Another concern was the Olive green (OOB). I couldn't distinguish this from the other green, so I avoided all green areas, except where I had to get to a control (#2, #14). Finally there were the uncrossable walls. I wasn't sure how to get to #14 because of the wall, but I saw others crossing it. After some squinting, I could see that the was was partly uncrossable and partly crossable. Same wall.

Another nice course. More like a Middle than a Long. Managed OK with the change in map scale.
I was doing OK through #6. I decided to avoid some climb by looping around through the assembly area to #7. Along the way I switched focus to #9. Nearly to #9 when I realized the problem. Pretty much brain dead after that. It took a long time to find #7. Over 10 minutes lost. Exhausted when I finished.

A nice course in very challenging terrain. Somewhat limited visibility and some steep hill sides. This was a lot of work, the 46 minutes felt like a couple of hours. A couple of negatives: Somewhere in the middle, I slipped going up a steep hillside and banged my right thigh an a couple of rocks. This hurt a lot and it took a few seconds to get going again. And, going into #8 I was stung by some bees (as were may others).
