Baird Park
Sunny, mid 50s. Nearly recovered from Sunday's run.
Very wet. Big puddles, small streams running down some trails. The vernal pools are full. One golf fairway has a pond in the middle which I have never seen before. Quite a challenge for those who don't have a big drive.

'Fall Back Into the Trails' trail race at the Red Wing Recreation Area in LaGrange. There were 10km and 50km options. (The 50km being five times around the 10km course). Yesterday's deluge left parts of the planned course under water, so there was a slight delay to the start as they redesigned part of the course. The course was to follow the 'yellow', this being mostly blazings and some new signs. Sometime after 7km I lost the 'yellow' (apparently, not the only one) and wandered a bit trying to reconnect, unsuccessfully. I may return to see if I can see where I went wrong. Finally, I just decided to head back to the Start/Finish, picked up the trail again about 1km from the end. None of this really mattered, as there were no age group awards.

There was an option to preregister for the race. Doing so added a 'processing fee', and there was no PayPal option for paying. I decided to just register at the race and payed the same race fee without the extra processing fee.? Also, preregistering required a waiver, but there was none for me. The only information they had about me was my name (and bib number).
