Hudson Highlander
The maps used this year were Jackie Jones, Rockhouse Mountain and Surebridge Mountain. I went around with Francis Hogle. The course included a lot of open running and trails (not counting the Trail Run section, which was also very runnable). This should have been an easy day (as it was for the winner with a time under three hours). However, the climb, rocky ground and the abundance of laurel and blueberry made it a challenge for us. As an added excuse, we were both recovering from colds. But we made it, which for us is all that counts.
