One of the three training courses set by Geof.
Early rain had stopped, but was still gray and chilly. The north facing slopes had snow cover, but south facing were mostly clear.

Mostly sunny with a brisk breeze from the north. Mostly on top of the crusty layer in the beginning, but less so as the sun warmed things up. Very pleasant skiing.

A crusty layer on top was generally strong enough to hold my weight. Crusty but not icy. This was very fast and smooth skiing.
