An inch or so of snow fell overnight. First cleared my driveway and had lunch. By the time I got out the sun had been out and the temperature had risen to the mid 30s. There was still enough snow, but it had become wet and sticky. Slow going.

Running race 52:19 [3] 8.11 km (6:27 / km) +37m 6:18 / km

LaGrange Winter Run.
5 miles starting and ending at the Lagrange Town Hall. This is basically an organized fun run by the MHRRC. For the last couple of years this run was held in Baird Park, but some complained about the hills there, so back to flat course in Freedom Plains.
A near perfect day for a run with clear skies and no wind. The temperature climbing from about 34 to the low 40s.

Gray skies with the sun trying to break through. Mild and calm. Early on, I came across signs of trail maintenance. All of the trees that were laying across the trail had been cut and cleared. Some of these trees had been there for years. A little later I ran into the rangers doing the work and chatted a bit about trail maintenance. Have to wait and see what they plan to do with their trails.
