Mine Woods O
Really pleased with my run, very clean except from one little routechoice error, maybe 10 secs. Forest was in great condition, decent grip and limited undergrowth. Very hilly but good practice for the lakes. Leg muscles still feeling exhausted, definitely a rest day tomorrow! Much enjoyed :) For some reason this didn’t sync to attackpoint.

LAC Intervals - 30 mins of 400m (Dad did a rep)
Managed to do 11 reps. All between 1:27 and 1:23, most around 1:26. Leg muscles just felt really tired and found it hard to start the reps. Lots of rest in between which was nice. Bit soggy. Really looking forward to tomorrow!

A new area for me, bits of it were very rough and tough including some dense forest. Good tough terrain practice, but definitely getting slower towards the end, i’ve lost a lot of endurance. Had a pretty good run, lost a bit of time to number one and got a bit confused at number 9, but nothing major, maybe 30 sec - 1min total. Weather was awesome as always. Football match tomorrow...

Event format was an odds then evens Spanish score. Very interesting. Pretty happy with the route I chose, you know it’s a good one when it’s less than the “optimum distance”! Kinda just jogged round, I wasn’t pushing. Legs felt a bit tired but were ok and nav was fine but the controls were pretty easy. We’ve been so lucky with the weather recently :)

Pretty brutal session, wasn’t expecting it to be this long :/ Legs feeling battered now. Knees were ok until about 6k when the glutes gave up. Good session and lovely evening :)

Binned 3 mins to the first control when I lost contact and struggled to relocate, then had a few more hesitations in the circle. Probs 5-6 mins mistakes. The rest was pretty good. Legs were still a bit sore but not too bad. Not my best day of O anyhow!

Good session, felt really dehydrated from the second set on. My legs were ok on the hard running but felt sore and weak on the easy which was weird. Paces were a bit slow on the first one, but consistent from there

Orienteering at Beecraigs
Nav was very clean, but probably mucked up a few route choices. Good terrain running practice, taking good lines etc. Caught dad at 5 and had a bit of a race all the way to the finish. Good course and good fun. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Good session but a tough headwind. Solid pace - between 1:25 and 1:30 for all reps. Last set were all 1:26. The grass on the cricket pitch was good for my knees, were still pretty sore though.

Terrain TT + WU and WD
First attempt at a nasty 2.4K loop with 90m climb and almost all off-road. Decent time of 10:20. Lovely weather. Had to force myself out though, my legs were really sore.
