Event: DVOA A-meet

Warmup 4:00 [1] 0.5 km (8:00 / km)

Orienteering 1:03:53 [4] 9.5 km (6:43 / km)

DVOA A-meet (Daniel Boone Frontier? was that all about the jungle? Festival), Day 1. Blue. An almost-perfect run, interrupted only by the Berks County paramedics. Surprised to win, with all the serious attackpointers present; the many years spent in the land of Cin allow for thorough preparation for at least (and at most) this particular terrain type.

Note

Spent about 2 hours tonight on visualisation using the Morgan Territory map. Man, my brain hurts.

Upper body. Like it's any use. The guy at the club insisted.

Medium pace running 33:47 [3] 6.8 km (4:58 / km)

Grocery store, take two. Success this time.

Sunday Oct 28, 2001 #

Easy running 8:30 [2] 1.7 km (5:00 / km)

Another early morning run to catch the ride.

Warmup 20:00 [1] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)

Actually did a full-blown warmup (10 min run + 10 min stretch and strides) before the WRE.

Orienteering 1:47:30 [4] 11.0 km (9:46 / km)

O in the Oaks, Day 2: the WRE (Blue). I'm clearly not ready for Blue. Was 4th through about 5.2 km point, caught up with three starters in front, including 9 min on Andy Dale. Then died. Mostly walked the last 2 km, through severe cramps. A very clean run/walk nevertheless.
