Same as yesterday only go around block then around green twice to get to 7 km ,next time do that in the playing field ,definitely run quicker more 5 something mins akm

Penn wood,really well organised event ,do brown for value but means of course that I am off pace all the time.Terrible run mainly due to misjudging distance and the failure of vision ,for wjhatever reason contact lens set up failing ,cannot see terrain,cannot see controls often although 22 was really bad ignoring the obvious gate thinking it was not on map !.Off course 10 ,looking too early 14 then 17 awful pulled out and ran along track ,29 not my fault in correct spot but could not see it,30 massive track ! thought I had done some sort of 90 degree mistake !,still nice wood enjoyed it after a fashion !,at least finished fresh ,but really just jogged around

First event since Cyprus !Itchington Holt OD only ,great as cold but sunny.
1 Ok ,1 to 2 straight a bit slow ,2 to 3 Nathan flies by ,3 to 4 Ok ,4 to 6 good to go somewhere different nice footpath ,6 to 7 went on just right for a change ,7 to 8 poor if you go straight go straight note 36 secs slower than the second time !,8 to 9 ok ,9 to 14 ok ,14 to 15 got tied up in front coming out and got in the way of william ,slow down ditch seemed a long way down ,15to 17 ok ,17 to 18 standing next to depression did not see it ,18 to 19 slow in terrain ,19 to 20 tried different route quicker !20 to 22 ok ,22 to 23 did not find a good way through massive dark green on hill ,quicker to right,23 to finish fine
Lovely ,slow in terrain ,contact lens problems seeing terrain ,no distance contact in ,william 27 mins ! Nathan 11 secs behind ! Both quick !

Walk around Upton wildlife reserve ,notable for a) the number of dragon flies b)weird view of boats above the eye line c) spectularly three common cranes ,but the weather became awful,still fell off post flu jab

Tried foot out on road ,mistake hurt at the 2 km ,nice day for run ,patchy had to stop for horses and ploughed up field made it really slow,and that was with pausing watch ,still enjoyed ,pre flu jab so probably no run tomorrow

Walked the Lyveden Way ,out of fermwyn woods country park to lyveden new build,looks wonderful against blue sky ,rest closed ,long tramp to wadenhoe ,car park closed ,pub very busy cannot get to river nene ,up hill to lovely isolated church ,then across fields rather aggressive sheep dog of four ,lady farmer on quad bike ,lunch in shade of titmarsh wood ,wood in the rest spoilt by acaterpiller bigger going along in front of us,miss a turn so jog back to get the whole walk ,back to coffee ,bizarrely quiet park ,another long distance foot path ,well ok short but still the whole thing !

Another run from priors hardwick ,through eves wood sad new flowers tribute to j bond ,then long run to canal ,felt good at last left ned behind ,canal very busy ! then up hill ,ned slow ,along road to end ,later developed very sore foot right side later on

Decide against maidwell run as felt rough over night ? why ,do the bunce run feel bad until lowock field when I feel abit better ,so at the end do 3 laps of playing field to make 10 km

Borough hill MapRun f excellent with no flags also little grazing so concrete stays hard to see ,nearly caught out by a random text ! at 16 luckily made sure of it ,grass very long in places,tried to go wrong at 14 but followed heavy fall ,my second the first on the way to 2 !

Good to be running with ned again ,he is better and my theory that Covid hit him harder than he realised is correct ,lady appears at road junc so we of course go faster up the hill she follows us up path so we let her past but she does walk ,do a loop in MH and then snorscombe hill to get to 10 km ,not quite enough so little loop at end ,ned good on hill
