Johnston Tower hill race
Triumphant W. Happy with this, felt great, raced from the front and didn't look back. Not every day you get to do a race in Laurencekirk, and so good to do it the justice it deserves. Time wise not even that far from the course record, not set by finlay wild but let it be the goal for next year. props to the s+c, gotta believe I owe this to it.

Wanted to take this fairly full beans as well just to train the resilience, if that's even a thing, legs fairly empty as predicted but pushed through and felt better towards the end somehow. No nav difficulties but props to cat for some good planning, making this as interesting as the area can cater for.

Felt absolutely useless in the water today for some reason, poorly balanced and sinking. Going for my first lesson in 10 years on tuesday tho so hopefully some easy speed to be gained.

Love sessions like this. Selected a nice loop on some muddy paths round the south end and just looped to my hearts content, only downside to this is seeing the same dog walkers over and over. Pleased with the feels, felt strong and controlled, have probably been faster but good to see that the body is coping well with the current regime.

In the sea! Swam with Dad from the harbour out beyond Downie point, which was so choppy it felt like we were in the middle of the north sea, which we basically were. Had quite a scary moment with a purple jelly which stung my left foot, so i retracted my leg suddenly in shock, (even though it was probably comparable in pain to a nettle sting), and my quad cramped horribly, thought i was going to die for a brief mo before collecting myself. My longest ever swim, about the coldest i've ever been by the end. Incredible scenes.

Ride round Lamahip/FoB/Aboyne/Birse castle with Emus, plus com out and back. New little nook for me so was fun exploring and only very few sections of pushing. Amazingly felt better on the way home than I did on the way out.
