taking today as a rest day after a pretty strenuous day yesterday.

up to muncaster fell w/ mum + george - v cool views, really like eskdale :)

williamson park o training

alphabet course, route-choice course and map-memory course. a cool area, lots of paths and hills but also quite a lot of brambles. nav was solid for the most part, a couple slips here and there but nothing drastic.

sprint sim - heat

i was in the hardest heat out of all them (im still mad about that) so i knew before hand i was going to have to pick the pace up if i wanted to get into the A semi-final. had the same gaffle as 2 others, was slightly behind them at #6 but then a took a better route-choice to #7 and got ahead, then had to absolutely peg it so they wouldn’t catch me up again - which they didnt and i managed a 2nd place :))

sprint sim - semi-final

feeling sick on the start line, i was in the last heat so only had about 10 minutes to recover from the previous one which is annoying. nav was clean, just struggling to get going and feeling quite tight. going to work some speed endurance stuff into my training plan as i feel this is where i need to work on.

done in from the training day so not very enjoyable. good nav again, feeling v sluggish tho. been a good days training today, feeling more confident with sprints but still need to work on my speed.

plod w/ issy - 2 exams today but feeling pretty good, seems the easy runs have worked. excited for tomorrows training, will be good to get some sprint training in :)

easy round town by myself - no exams today so feeling a lot fresher, still going to take tomorrow and friday easy. not ideal conditions tonight but a good run anyhow :)

600m intervals with a control pick in between * 3 + a small o course and relay.

feeling a bit pooped after a day of maths + physics exams but still good exercises, will make sure to attempt again when i’m feeling a bit better. going to take the next couple of days easy to properly recover from the past few weeks and to let my body cope with mocks, hopefully will get some good training in on saturday though.
